George MacInnis

Mr. MacInnis provides extensive technical experience and expertise in all aspects of intellectual property law, with a focus of U.S. patent applications for both foreign and domestic clients, as well as assistance in U.S. trademark applications for both foreign and domestic clients and foreign trademark prosecution. Prior to joining Bay State IP, Mr. MacInnis worked for a boutique Intellectual Property law firm in Boston, MA providing technical expertise assisting in the management of the firm’s US and Foreign patent and trademark prosecution docket. Mr. MacInnis possesses a technical background in Mechanical Engineering receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Lowell and a Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law.

Furthermore, Mr. MacInnis has substantial industry experience through his work at General Electric in the Jet Engine Division, F404 Engine Line as a Design Engineer, and at Mediva (Armstrong) Pharmaceutical as Design and Production Engineer. Additionally, Mr. MacInnis received additional training in the United States Navy, 1983 -1989, as Mechanist Mate Third Class, (Propulsion, Ships Systems and UNREP systems), (Served aboard USS Suribachi and USS Nitro), Honorably Discharged March 15, 1989, wherein he attended Naval Nuclear Power School; Machinist Mate A School, Valve Maintenance School, Multiple Hydraulic and Electronic UNREP Schools. Mr. MacInnis took part in (2) Mediterranean Deployments, (5) Caribbean deployments and (1) North Atlantic/Arctic Circle Deployment.
