Client
Acquia, Inc.
Our Role
Our firm worked closely with the client to obtain a registered trademark for their cloud computing service models. During the prosecution process, we were able to successfully argue against a rejection from the Trademark Office that asserted the trademark was confusingly similar to another registered mark. Our arguments highlighting our client’s prior trademarks and longstanding presence in the market were successful in overcoming the rejection, and our client was able to obtain a federally-registered trademark.

Client
Elite Gold, Ltd.
Our Role
Our firm collaborated closely with the client to submit a trademark application for trade dress protection associated with one of their prominent coffee brands. During the trademark prosecution process, we diligently prepared and responded to an office action that initially rejected the application on the grounds that one of the terms contained in the trademark was merely descriptive of the client’s coffee goods. Through effective legal arguments, we successfully overcame the Trademark Office’s objections and ultimately secured a trademark registration for our client.
True Adventurer
Registration No.
7, 583,426
Filed: July 25, 2022
Granted: December 3, 2024
Our Role
Our firm worked closely with the client to obtain brand protection for a popular line of pet accessories. After the application was initially rejected for being confusingly similar to a prior-registered mark, our team successfully petitioned the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to cancel the prior-registered trademark on the grounds that it was no longer in use in commerce. After this successful expungement petition, we were able to have the rejection reversed and our client obtained a registered trademark.
